Walk With God

Walk With Me God

A Letter to God

A true relationship with God is walking with him Daily and wanting to walk with him every moment of your life, developing that intimacy with him.

Adam – Walked with God in the Garden

Adam – Walked with God in the Garden and was fellowship to God. Genesis 3:8 tells us that they (Adam and Eve) heard the voice of the Lord God.

God created Adam for fellowship. Before sin entered the world Adam walked with God face to face, without fear, shame or separation.

The Garden was not just a place of beauty but it was a place with daily communion with God.

Adam knew – God’s voice/presence/and authority.

When the Walk Was Broken

When Adam disobeyed God the walk with God was broken – and Adam hid from God. Genesis 3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

Sin introduced caused:

Fear where there was peace

Hiding where there was fellowship

Separation where there was intimacy.

Our sin or the things that we battle with hinders our walk with God.

Our laziness to not pick up the Word of God hinders our walk with God.

Genesis 3:9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

God knows all and where we are at all times. So God asking where art thou was not a question of location but a question of relationship.

Where are you church

Where are you child of God

I ask you today how is your relationship with God. How is your walk and communion with God. Remember sin disrupts fellowship with God.

Enoch – Walked with God and pleased God

Genesis 5:24 Amplified Bible

And [in reverent fear and obedience] Enoch walked with God; and he was not [found among men], because God took him [away to be home with Him].

Enoch lived in a corrupt generation, yet he maintained a close walk with God.

We don’t have to be part of the corrupt world.

Enoch did not die but instead was taken up by God – all because Enoch pleased God.

There was no coffin for him

No grave

No obituary

Walking with God pleases him.

Intimacy with God brings supernatural outcomes.

It Brings healing

It Brings Deliverance

It brings Miracles

Who needs a miracle in this house today.

Also know you can walk with God even in the evil times.

You can be that witness and you can please God.

Noah – Walked with God and Obeyed God

Genesis 6:9 King James Version

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Noah obeyed God for over 100 years building the ark.

He walked with God although he received no applause.

Church keep walking with God and he will give you the end reward.

His faith looked foolish to the World.

Although people mocked him Noah kept obeying God while people laughed.

Noah’s walk with God saved many generations to come.

You can do the same and WIN many generations to come to God by teaching your kids and grandkids.

Witnessing to your friends

Obeying God

Living for him

Walk with HIM.

Abraham – Walked by Faith

Genesis 15:5–6 King James Version

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Moses – Walked and Talked with God

Moses – Walked and Talked with God through leadership, wilderness, trials, and intercession for Israel.

Exodus 33:11 King James Version

And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.

That would be a close walk with God.

As a man speaks to his friend

Face to Face

God reveals things to the ones that walk close to him.

A daily walk creates an intimacy with God.

Leaders must walk with God before leading people.

David – Walked with God after failure

David – Waked with God after failure – Walking with God includes Repentance.

David stumbled but repented deeply and returned to walking with God.

David was after God’s own heart.

Psalm 51:11 King James Version

Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me

David knew the feeling of the walk with God and didn’t ever want to lose it.

When the presence of God is not with us we are missing something and have nothing.

But when the presence of God is with us we have everything.

Nothing is impossible with him.

In his presence Miracles are produced.

If we ever get a true taste of God we will not want to live without him.

Job – Walked with God in the suffering

Walking with God does not prevent trials but God restores those who remain faithful just like Job.

Job walked with God although everything was stripped away.

We have to do the same.

No matter what I will serve you.

Elijah – Walked with God in Power – Walking with God brings spiritual authority.

One person walking with God can change a nation.

Walking with God gives us that same power.

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

They walked with Jesus, learning obedience, humility, and sacrifice.

Walking with Jesus requires leaving the old life you were living.

Walking with Christ changes ordinary people just like his disciples.

Paul – Walked with God after an Encounter with Jesus.

Philippians 1:21 King James Version

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Paul is saying to live on Earth with Christ I have everything.

If I die having Christ in my heart then I gain Heaven.

A true encounter with Jesus leads to a changed walk.

Will You Walk With God

Will you walk with him Daily

Will you walk with him Intentionally

Will you walk with him being Humble

Lastly will you walk with him Faith-Filled

God is still looking for people to walk with Him.

James 4:8 King James Version

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

Final Call

Church I challenge you to get back to your walk with God.

Back to his presence.

This is not a season to sit but to Walk with God.

For the ones that need a walk established come.

For the ones that are already walking but need that walk Set on Fire for Jesus come.

The fall of man brought forth thorns and thistles in Genesis.

The thorns and thistles were placed on Jesus as the Crown of Thorns.

Adam had bowed his head in shame.

Jesus bowed his head in victory.

And through Christ we have victory.
