1I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2My soul shall make its boast in the Lord;
The humble shall hear of it and be glad.
3Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.
4I sought the Lord, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
5They looked to Him and were radiant,
And their faces were not ashamed.
6This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,
And saved him out of all his troubles.
7The [a]angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them.
8Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
9Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints!
There is no [b]want to those who fear Him.
10The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
11Come, you children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12Who is the man who desires life,
And loves many days, that he may see good?
13Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit.
14Depart from evil and do good;
Seek peace and pursue it.
15The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
16The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To [c]cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as [d]have a contrite spirit.
19Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20He guards all his bones;
Not one of them is broken.
21Evil shall slay the wicked,
And those who hate the righteous shall be [e]condemned.
22The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned.
From 1 Samuel 13:14, Samuel tells Saul: the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people.
How did David become a man after God’s own heart? This is an easy answer. He worshiped God, he was a worshiper.
Our text says: I will bless the Lord at all times, every season of my life I will worship.
David was a worshipper when he was a shepherd, the sheep followed better with David than Saul, why? Because David was a worshipper.
Saul had a great army, but David knew God almighty. Worship will get God’s attention. When you need God’s presence, worship Him, His presence brings anointing, and where you find anointing there is a power to break strongholds. A worshipper becomes a yoke breaker. A worshipper breaks out into a song and the anointing begins to come out.
David wrote a song for every situation.
The Power of God in His Deliverance of Israel
Psalm 114 (NKJV)
1When Israel went out of Egypt,
The house of Jacob from a people [a]of strange language,
2Judah became His sanctuary,
And Israel His dominion.
3The sea saw it and fled;
Jordan turned back.
4The mountains skipped like rams,
The little hills like lambs.
5What ails you, O sea, that you fled?
O Jordan, that you turned back?
6O mountains, that you skipped like rams?
O little hills, like lambs?
7Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the God of Jacob,
8Who turned the rock into a pool of water,
The flint into a fountain of waters.
David learned to bring the presence of God into every situation. A worshipper will bring God into every situation he or she faces.
Do you need deliverance from the enemy? Bring the presence of God into the situation.
The anointing will break the yoke, When the Doctor brings the C word bring the presence of God.
When fear come and it will, do like David and bring the presence of God into fear.
1The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat[a] up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)
25But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.
Psalms 32:7
“Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.”
