The Value of the Oil

Matthew 25:1-13 (NKJV)

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

¹“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. ² Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. ³ Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, ⁴ but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. ⁵ But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

⁶ “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom ^[a]is coming; go out to meet him!’ ⁷ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ ⁹ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ ¹⁰ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

¹¹ “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ ¹² But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

¹³ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour ^[b]in which the Son of Man is coming.

I had a dream. It was overpowering, I can’t dismiss it. In the dream one of the (I’m assuming) 10 virgins spilled the oil, she laughed and carelessly tried to clean the oil up. My eyes saw it and my heart was smitten. I was so grieved, I understood the Holy Spirit. He was smitten in heart: wasted oil, church, Brother and Sisters what’s happened, that the oil has lost its value, that the anointing has become a plaything.

The anointing of heaven is everything. I believe in living in an open heaven, if you want to lay hands on the sick and see them healed it will take the anointing, if you are going to cast out the demons, it will take the anointing. I love being around faith builders, not faith killers.

What has God called you to do, I tell you before God and every person in the house of God tonight. You may have people fooled but you don’t have God fooled or the devil.

Oil and fire cost you in the kingdom of God, in an open heaven there is oil that comes from being with Jesus!

Somebody, ask me a question.   How did you get this precious oil?

Mathew 25:9 tells you the answer.

⁹ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

I know you have heard everything is for sale, and the word says the anointing can be bought. So yall lets buy us some anointing,

The Spirit that was upon Elijah came at a high price, the first time we see this Spirit was upon Noah, Noah preached 120 years, if you weren’t saved you were damned. Noah was a preacher of righteous,

Elijah was a carrier of the Anointing, when he threw his mantle upon Elisha forsook momma and daddy, left his wealth, killed his oxen and began to follow the man of God.

Elisha didn’t follow from afar, he stayed close, Elisha wanted more than Elijah had, I want what you Got Elijah what do I have to do to get it. I believe Elijah told him go buy your own oil.

I can’t give it to you, Bishop can’t give it to you, you may be working under the anointing of another, but if you are to go to the next level, you are going to have to buy the oil.

Church, do we have enough oil? Elders, we should have enough oil and to spare, you can’t pour it if you don’t have it.  

So, do we need to take up an offering to buy oil from Heaven, we need a broker who can do this deal, who is heaven’s broker?

Y’all are smart. The HolyGhost isn’t going to sell the oil to a waster, rather he is going to sell to a carrier.

Let’s discuss the cost. The Holy Ghost told me to tell you it’s going to cost you everything.

I find people will give anything, even all they have. Even give all the money they have, somebody say “wow, that’s some offering!”.

Yet your money isn’t what the Holy Ghost is looking for.

Some of us act like we have God in our hip pocket.

When you call on the Holy Ghost he says “Yes. I will sell you this precious oil.”

“What’s it going to cost me?”

The Holy Ghost replies, “I’m glad you asked.”

Heaven works on trade, your self-life must die, you die on the cross of Jesus. Your prayer-life determines the depths of your dying, a willingness to trade with God.

I don’t want lying lips; I want a heart with those lips.

There is a reason you haven’t gotten what others have got.

He wants your heart, he wants you, when he gets you, he gets everything.

I have come to pour oil. Who am I talking to?

You love God but you have not been able to give him your heart in surrender to his will.
