The Unseen Realm
THE UNSEEN REALM
2nd Kings 6:11–23 (NKJV)
11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them,
“Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?”
12 And one of his servants said,
“None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”
13 So he said,
“Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.”
And it was told him, saying,
“Surely he is in Dothan.”
14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.
15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him,
“Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
16 So he answered,
“Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17 And Elisha prayed, and said,
“Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.”
Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said,
“Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.”
And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 Now Elisha said to them,
“This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.”
But he led them to Samaria.
20 So it was, when they had come to Samaria, that Elisha said,
“Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.”
And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were, inside Samaria!
21 Now when the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha,
“My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?”
22 But he answered,
“You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set food and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.”
23 Then he prepared a great feast for them; and after they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syrian raiders came no more into the land of Israel.
“Open Our Eyes to What Is Already There”
2 Corinthians 4:18
While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
“The Bible teaches us that what we see is temporary, but what we do not see is eternal.”
“Today, I don’t want to talk about imagination or mysticism.
I want to talk about biblical reality.”
“There is a realm that existed before this one and it governs this one.”
THE UNSEEN PRODUCES THE SEEN
Hebrews 11:3
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
“The unseen is not weak. It is primary.”
“Everything visible came from something invisible.”
Foundational Truths
God is Spirit The Word was spoken before creation appeared Faith responds to what God has said, not what eyes see
2 KINGS 6:11–23 the word is teaching us something about God and the realm we are living in. Elijah prayed for the servant that he might see. Often despair makes us only able to see the temporary. When God is already there.
I tell you without any hesitation God is already there, your not alone. Let your faith receive this.
2nd Kings 6:15–17
15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him,
“Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
16 So he answered,
“Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17 And Elisha prayed, and said,
“Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.”
Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha
“The servant woke up surrounded by an enemy.
Elisha woke up surrounded by God.”
“Same location, Same threat, Different vision.”
The enemy was real , Elijah He prayed for vision
“The chariots of fire didn’t arrive when he prayed. They were already there.”
“The unseen realm doesn’t show up when we believe it exists whether we believe or not.”
OUR LIFE IN THE UNSEEN
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
“What you’re fighting may not be flesh and blood.
And what’s fighting for you may not be visible.”
Genesis 28:10–17
10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.
11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said:
“I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.”
14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
15
“Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said,
“Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.”
17 And he was afraid and said,
“How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”
“Faith is not denial of reality.
Faith is alignment with a greater reality.”
“When we pray, we’re not talking to the ceiling.
We’re stepping into a realm that already knows the answer.”
“If you’ve been overwhelmed by what you see,
the Lord wants to open your eyes today.”
“You may not need a change of circumstances
you may need a change of vision.”
Prayer
Pray this with me
“Lord, open our eyes.
Let us see what You are already doing.
Let the unseen shape what is seen.”
