Israel Defeats the Philistines
7 Then the men of Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill, and consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord.
Samuel Judges Israel
2 So it was that the ark remained in Kirjath Jearim a long time; it was there twenty years. And all the house of Israel lamented after the Lord.
Time stretches unnaturally (20 years)…
Nothing moves, Nothing shifts, Nothing increases.
People say “This is just how church is now”, “Times have changed”, “We’re doing our best”
But heaven is waiting, Kirjath Jearim is a holding pattern, not a destination.
The Kirjath Jearim season is the place we see the corporate body setting right now.
I carry the Presence in my life, it’s not Gone. The Presence is Hosted in my home. It’s hosted to a degree in our church. I have had people actually try to make me feel I’m weird because I won’t settle for A Glory-less house.
I’m not trying to store Presence, I Am trying to host Him.
The grief I feel is prophetic.
I’m feeling it.
“Why are we okay without weight of His Glory?”
“We explain away absence?”
“Why are we afraid of glory?”
Are we standing in between storage and Possession prophetically.
I ask you a question are you standing in the wrong season.
The new season is Possession. We can’t be the people who just stores the presence. We must be the container that possesses his presence.
We as a corporate body were never asked to babysit the Ark. My home is a place where we Host his Presence.
BASH Family worship Center we must Host his Prescence.
Imagine with me, a worship service with no worship, no brokenness, the lifting of the hands but no surrender.
1 Samuel 2:18 But Samuel ministered before the Lord, even as a child, wearing a linen ephod.
Samuel never wore the garments of the High Priest, yet he possessed what they didn’t… the Presence.
The corporate Body is so dead, we wear the Ephod as if we own the Presence. We have noise of worship; we love the noise. But where is the Host of the Presence.
Kirjath Jearim is when God is close enough to remember, but far enough to grieve.
In 2 Samuel 6, David goes to bring the Presence back corporately to Israel, he brought it out of Abinadab’s house, but once again because Israel wouldn’t carry the Presence. The Presence was never a piece of furniture meant to be stored. It is meant to be Hosted.
We can have real revival. We must see first we can’t do it without the glory of God.
2 Samuel 6:12-15 12 Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness. 13 And so it was, when those bearing the ark of the Lord had gone six paces, that he sacrificed oxen and fatted sheep. 14 Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.
I prophecy the end of the dry season, are you ready to end the dry season of your life, tell someone I will not live without his Glory.
Pray this Prayer God forgive me; I want the Glory in my heart. I choose to Host your Presence.
Tell someone it is the best time to be alive, Heaven is tearing open wide, a hunger for his presence is all it takes and he will do as he promised.
