Exodus 3:3-5 KJV

3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro, his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

*I’m not speaking about the burning bush, or obedience of Moses. I want to speak about “The Holy Ground”

**Matthew 17:20 Amplified**

20 He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, [a]if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

**Philippians 4:7 KJV**

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

**Luke 5:1-11 KJV**

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

“I’m not speaking about the burning bush or the obedience of Moses. I want to speak about ‘The Holy Ground.’

God didn’t want anything between Him and Moses while on Holy Ground (not even his shoes).

  • God is the same today; He doesn’t want anything between you and Him.
  • He wants that personal relationship.
  • Holy Ground was a place of contact (contact with You and God).

Without shoes, we are vulnerable and sensitive to what the ground has to offer.

  • That could be hard ground that may have thorns, sharp rocks, heat, or cold temperatures.
  • But spiritually speaking, we can be closer and feel God and what He projects out of His Holiness (feel His Holiness), or we can stray away from that ground and might find ourselves beaten up from the directions we have traveled or are traveling now.”

“What direction or what ground will you choose? What are you choosing today? Holy Ground or the harsh bitterness of this world?

What is on that ground?

(What can you find on Holy Ground?)

  • Jesus is on that ground: Who is Jesus? John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’

*He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

*He is our way maker, miracle worker, and promise keeper.

*He is Jesus!!! Jehovah Jirah (My provider), My El Shaddai (Strength), Jehovah Rapha (The God that Heals).

  • Peace on that ground: Jesus stilled the storm.”

**Matthew 8:23-27**

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

*How many of us need peace in our storm (the storms of life)?

*How many of us have little faith that God can actually move that mountain? (If He stated He would move it, then He will. We have to have faith that He will.)

Matthew 17:20 Amplified

20 He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, [a]if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

  • We have to have faith in our situation; it’s not time to have a lack of trust in our creator.
  • We need confidence in the One we serve; He can do all things.
  • Because of our little faith, God reassures us here that He can use small things or portions (in this case, faith) to make anything happen for us as long as it is His will. (We can’t say God is not a mountain mover just because He didn’t give you what you wanted.

He used that mountain to keep you from that disaster; that car wreck, house fire, abusive relationship.)

Peace on Holy Ground Continues…

Philippians 4:7  KJV

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

*There is peace on the Holy Ground!

What else is on the Holy Ground?

  • Comfort
  • Joy
  • Deliverance
  • Acceptance
  • Healing
  • Fulfillment
  • “Overload is on that ground: The great haul of fish.”

Luke 5:1-11 KJV

4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

*I said there is an overload on that Ground! Not just for you but for the one next to you!

*Stay with me because there is more on this Ground! (We are gaining ground on the Holy Ground)

  • The Dead Will Raise on Holy Ground: Nothing can be dead in the presence of Jesus. Jesus brings life to everything.

*(Anxiety, depression, sadness, defeat, suicidal thoughts, anger, and fear cannot be on the same ground or in the presence of Jesus.)

Jesus covered it all! Everything we need, He has covered it. *But we have to be on that Holy Ground!

How can we track the Holy Ground?

  • Every place that Jesus walked is Holy Ground.
  • Every place today that Jesus is accepted is Holy Ground.
  • If He is in your heart, we can be on that Ground.
  • Church
  • Tent Revivals
  • Altar (your altar) or Church altar

One thing if you noticed about the Holy Ground that Moses stood on.

*Moses was drawn to the Holy Ground! If we get close enough or if we can get our loved ones, friends, or people around us close enough, we can get them to that Holy Ground also.

Are we paying attention? God is trying to get our attention and draw us to the Holy Ground! Moses heard the voice of God.

He was also drawn by his sight with the bush. More importantly, he was drawn closer to his Creator on Holy Ground.
