Release the New Creature 2

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

I’m so excited to be able, as Pastor, to teach you how to release the New Creature God has created in you.

I want you to know your faith isn’t blind faith, your salvation isn’t based upon blind faith.

2 Timothy 2:19 (NKJV)

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

When you were born again the Holy Spirit came in full-grown, the Holy Spirit doesn’t have to mature, we must Mature. When we were born again, we were born carnal, I Love what Paul said in:

Ephesians 1:3-12 (NKJV)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

Jesus sanctified us, by his works on the cross, (Ephesians 1:4) …He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

“When you pray through and receive Jesus as your savior”“when you pray through” is a strange subject to some, it’s like some prayed through but since then they haven’t prayed through again.

Why do you have to Pray through to the Spirit? Because the depths of our lives come in the depths of our deaths.

Some people are saved but barely saved. Why? Because they have not died to self-life.

Matthew 16:24-26 (NKJV)

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

If you’re one of those souls who surrendered your life to Jesus, I ask you a question. Since you gave your life to Jesus, have you surrendered your life?

Are you releasing what God has put in you? Some Christians want to act like their faith is a blind faith; faith that’s unsubstantiated; faith that’s only based on feelings. Don’t read me wrong, but blind faith isn’t wild faith. I love a new convert with wild faith, they are the last ones to leave the altars and the first ones there.

I want to help you a little bit tonight, I’m asking you a question! How do I change my mind about sin?

Being Carnal isn’t sin, sin comes when you stay that way.

Churches want people right with God, and you want to be right with God, but blind faith isn’t what God’s Word teaches.

Your new life must be substantiated by truth, by the Word of God.

Psalm 119:10-11 (NKJV)

10            With my whole heart I have sought You;

Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!

11            Your word I have hidden in my heart,

That I might not sin against You.

Are you ready to start real discipleship? Are you ready for the next level of devotion to Jesus? I celebrate that you have given your heart to Jesus.

Now I want you to release what God has put into your heart.

Galatians 2:20-21 (NKJV)

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

You can’t lay down grace on Saturday night and pick it back up on Sunday morning. How many of us have already figured that out?

Sin separates us from God, what does separate mean? Split… divided… us from God.

Isaiah 59:1-2 (NKJV)

Separated from God

1        Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,

That it cannot save;

Nor His ear heavy,

That it cannot hear.

2              But your iniquities have separated you from your God;

And your sins have hidden His face from you,

So that He will not hear.

So tonight, we are starting on a new path of life for you. I want you to go from unsubstantiated faith to a faith that is substantiated by the word of God.

Let’s talk about where the Problem starts. How many of us agree our problems arise from our mind or at least come through the mind?

The devil attacks the mind whether you’re lost or saved; he cuts no one slack. The devil wants to drive you out of your mind or use you to drive somebody else out of theirs.

When you come to Jesus and you repent, I believe grace is there for you.

Still, you are Carnal.

A Carnal Mind means it’s of flesh.

A Carnal Mind is marked by the appetites and passions of the body.

How, Pastor, do I train my mind to think the right way? How do I find help for these desires I have? How do I stop sinning against God?

Some Christians think they can go from church to church looking for someone who will tell them sin in their life is OK and you won’t go to hell. Let me warn you that no sin will enter Heaven.

But how do I change what I couldn’t change when I was in the world?

Look at your neighbor and tell them to wash that mouth out.

Well to change the mind you must wash more than the mouth, because the mouth speaks from a Mind, and some of us feel we can give people a little of our mind. But the truth is, you don’t need to give what’s in that mind away.

Someone say: “Amen”.

Ephesians 5:25-27 (NKJV)

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might [g]sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Ephesians 5:25-27 uses Christ’s unique role as the one who sanctifies the church as a model for how a husband should love and care for his wife. These verses say that “Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish”.

To change the mind, we must wash our minds daily in the word of God, when you pick this book up, it’s all Logos.

Logos – means word of God

Rhema –  means the Logos is going to become a Revelation to you.

It’s Rhema when God speaks to you. You will see yourself in the Bible, the Holy Spirit will reveal things about your life that isn’t right, but also you will receive affirmation from the word of God.

What is affirmation?  Emotional support or encouragement:

Question: Can I wash every sin out of my mind? Yes

Question: Can I wash every sin out of my mind in one day? No

Daily eat the bread of Life – The word of God. Nothing is more disheartening than to give your life to Jesus and still hate people when you were supposed to love them.

You say: “I cannot forgive them!”  Wash your mind in the word and you will!

James 4:7-10 (NKJV)

Humility Cures Worldliness

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

What is Worldliness? Well, Worldliness is a person; a person may be worldly but that’s not Worldliness.

Worldliness is the world’s system, satan would love nothing more to keep you in a worldly system, make you religious instead of saved. Break the curse of worldliness off your life. Change the mind. You have allowed the devil to fill your mind. Now you have a new mind. Fill it with the word of God and teach yourself to walk in Holiness.

Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV)

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
