Peace Before the Storm

Daniel 9:27 – Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”

1 Thessalonians 5:3 – For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

Ezekiel 38–39 this was your pre homework hope you read it.

The Sound of Peace Before the Storm

Church, open your hearts and listen closely!

We are living in a moment when headlines are beginning to echo the words of the prophets.

On October 10, 2025, the world rejoiced.  A ceasefire took effect in Gaza. News anchors called it historic. World leaders said, “This is peace in our time.”

Behind the scenes stood one man, not a president, not a diplomat, but a private citizen who somehow drew together seven nations and brought them to one table. That man is Jared Kushner.

He helped negotiate what is being hailed as a Middle East Peace Framework  a covenant involving Israel, Hamas, Egypt, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United States.

Now, I am not here to declare that prophecy has been fulfilled but I am here to remind you that prophecy is being positioned.

The world is saying, “Peace and safety,” and the Spirit is saying, “Be watchful.”

Let’s look together at what the Word of God reveals.

The Covenant with Many (Daniel 9:27 NKJV)

“Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week…”

Daniel saw a covenant with many.
Not a peace between two — but a coalition of many nations.

Notice the word confirm.
In Hebrew, it means to strengthen, make binding, or give force to something already discussed.

That’s what we’ve seen: years of broken attempts suddenly confirmed into a framework that the world applauds.

Daniel foresaw that in the last days; a figure would rise to confirm a covenant with Israel and many nations bringing temporary peace to a land that has known war since Abraham.

We are not saying the person involved today is that man, but we are saying that the pattern is the same.

The point, Church, is this: God’s Word is precise.
When He speaks of a covenant with many, He means it.
And we are seeing the world now organize around that very idea.

The Illusion of Peace (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

“For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.”

There are two kinds of peace:

  • The Peace of God: Shalom, born from reconciliation through Christ.
  • The Peace of Man: temporary treaties, agreements built on negotiation, not transformation.

The peace of God changes hearts.
The peace of man changes signatures.
One redeems; the other restrains.
One lasts forever; the other lasts until the next explosion.

Paul warned that when the world feels safe, when leaders boast of peace, sudden destruction follows.

It comes suddenly not gradually as if the pain of birth breaks upon the earth. This is not to discourage us  it’s to awaken us.

Peace apart from God is the most dangerous illusion humanity can embrace.

Ezekiel’s Vision of the Latter Years (Ezekiel 38–39)

Ezekiel saw beyond the peace table.
He saw a day when Israel would live in unwalled villages secure, confident, at rest and then, in that false security, a vast northern army would invade.

“After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land… and they shall dwell safely, all of them.” (Ezekiel 38:8)

He names the invaders:

  • Gog of Magog from the far north (identified by many as Russia)
  • Meshech and Tubal – the region of modern Turkey
  • Persia – modern Iran
  • Ethiopia and Libya – nations of North Africa

In our day, these nations are aligned, cooperating militarily in Syria.
The very alliance Ezekiel described is in place.
The Word of God is not out of date it is unfolding.

Five Prophetic Realities of the Ezekiel War

Let’s look carefully at what Scripture tells us about this coming conflict.

The Scope of the Conflict

Ezekiel 38:9 says: “You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud.”

This is not a border skirmish.
It’s a global coalition moving toward Israel, united by greed and pride.
Millions will march the armies of multiple nations converging on the mountains of Israel.

Prophecy doesn’t exaggerate it foretells.

When God says, “many peoples,” He’s talking about something massive a world event that captures every camera, every satellite, every eye.

The Scale of Death

Now we come to one of the most sobering verses in the entire Bible.

Ezekiel 39:2 “I will turn you around and leave but the sixth part of you.”

The Hebrew term shishitcha means only one-sixth survives.
Five-sixths perish.
That’s an 83% loss a divine strike that wipes out most of the invading army.

This is not a war won by human weapons.
It’s a judgment carried out by the hand of God.
When man lifts his hand against the covenant land, God says, “Now I lift Mine.”

The Aftermath and Burial

Ezekiel 39:11–12: “It will take seven months for the house of Israel to bury them, in order to cleanse the land.”

Imagine that! Seven months just to bury the dead.
The Scripture says “men of continual employment” will be hired, fulltime workers, dedicated to the cleanup.

That’s how great the destruction will be. The world will look on in awe, not of Israel’s power, but of Israel’s God.
The nations will know the Holy One defends His covenant people.

The Global Shaking

Ezekiel 38:19–20: “Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel… and all the men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence.”

This shaking is not localized t is global. Every wall falls. Mountains crumble. It’s as though creation itself convulses at the presence of the Almighty.

Many scholars see this as a worldwide earthquake a divine act that shakes every nation, collapsing the systems of pride and idolatry that men have built.

The Purpose of Judgment

Ezekiel 38:23: “Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations; then they shall know that I am the LORD.”

That’s the heart of it all this is not just a battle for land it’s a revelation of the Lordship of Yahweh.
When the armies fall, the world will see that the God of Israel still reigns.
He allows the invasion to show His intervention.
He permits the shaking to display His sovereignty.

The Prophetic Sequence, Let’s piece it all together:

  • The Covenant: confirmed with many.
  • False Peace: nations rejoice, saying “peace and safety.”
  • The Invasion: Israel dwells securely, and the enemy strikes.
  • Divine Judgment: God rains fire, earthquake, and confusion.
  • The Revelation: nations recognize the Lord.

We are not in the final stage yet, but we may be in the setup.
Between the peace and the shaking, there’s a window, a divine pause.
And that’s where the Church must rise  awake, alert, and anointed.

Watchmen, Awake!

Church, this is not the hour to be fearful; it’s the hour to be faithful.
The headlines are not meant to terrify us but to testify that God’s Word is true.

When the world celebrates peace, the Church must prepare for revival.
When the nations sign treaties, we must sign our hearts back to the covenant of Christ.

Do not put your hope in political peace.
Put your hope in the Prince of Peace.

When man says, “He has arrived,” Heaven whispers, “He is coming.”
And soon the trumpet will sound not an alarm of war, but the call of the Bridegroom.

“Behold, He comes with clouds, and every eye shall see Him.” (Revelation 1:7)

The True Covenant

If you’ve been asleep spiritually, it’s time to awaken.
If you’ve been lukewarm, it’s time to burn again.
If fear has gripped you, let faith arise.

Come back to Covenant.
Come back to Christ.

He is not only the Lamb! He is the Lion who defends His people!

Let the world seek peace through signatures

…but let the Church seek peace through surrender.

Because when the storm comes, only those built upon the Rock will stand.
