30 Then Elijah said to all the people, “Come near to me.” So all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.” 32 Then with the stones he built an altar in the name of the Lord; and he made a trench around the altar large enough to hold two seahs of seed. 33 And he put the wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, “Fill four waterpots with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice and on the wood.” 34 Then he said, “Do it a second time,” and they did it a second time; and he said, “Do it a third time,” and they did it a third time. 35 So the water ran all around the altar; and he also filled the trench with water.
36 And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word. 37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”
Elijah is known as the prophet of fire, not rain. Elijah prayed and God sent fire. I hear in my spirit, in my spiritual ear, I’m sending fire. God said I have those who have bowed a knee to baal. Just like in Elijah’s day God told Elijah, I have 7000 who have never bowed a knee to baal, I believe there are in this house tonight who have not bowed to baal. Yes, you have been tempted but you have not bowed.
The prayers you have prayed ahead have kept you. John used water but Jesus used fire.
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit [a]and fire.
John was filled from his mother’s womb with the fire of the Holy Ghost. You never found John in the house of baal, you never found John with the money god, the lust god, the religion god.
John never bowed to Herod, , Herod Antipas, ruler of Galilee under the Roman Empire, had imprisoned John the Baptist because he had publicly reproved Herod for divorcing his first wife and unlawfully taking his sister-in-law (his brother’s wife) as is second wife Herodias.
Herodias danced before Herod like the snake behind satan’s flute, but the fire never allowed the prophet to bow.
God is looking for those who will never bow, those who have been waiting on the fire. The 7000 were waiting for fire. When the fire comes the presence will do what you can’t.
Who needs religion? the dead, who needs baal? the idolator, the gods made by the hands of man can do nothing!
There is rising in this hour a generation of holy, uncompromising lovers of God, set apart, holy people, who have such a passion for his presence, who love God with a passion like Elijah. Nazarites who will not drink the poison of the world. Those set apart. Those who are on fire, who set fires everywhere they go. Atmosphere shifters, fasters, prayer warriors who shift the audience of hell for heaven.
The Nazarite’s hair is growing, they won’t drink the wine of the world. They read, fast, and pray. They hunger for the manna; they walk in the fire. God is calling us to go higher. A shift is here, shame I’m no more.
I feel hell shaking because a shift is coming, I feel the gates of hell shaking. Why? Because those who are supposed to go to hell are changing directions.
I love the Spirit that was upon Elijah, John, Jesus… you?
A tribe that will worship for hours on end,
That will seek the face of God without ceasing.
That will have such passion for His presence that you have to be asked when to stop…
Because you love Him so much that you can’t stop loving Him,
You can’t stop pursuing Him,
You can’t stop chasing Him!
Am I talking to that generation in this room? Somebody shout— SHIFT!
Things won’t look the same, things won’t sound the same.
There’s a fresh wind, there’s fresh wine,
It’s fresh manna from Heaven.
It’s a new wineskin that won’t compromise with sin.
One more time, shout that word— SHIFT!
That’s what we believe God is doing in your generation.
He’s changing things, shifting things—something new is arising!
Something is happening in the earth that the world has yet to see,
And I believe that it’s starting with you!
Send the revival, Lord!
Let Your fire blaze in the body of Christ.
Wake the weary and complacent, stir us from our slumber!
Call us to greatness…
We started the race, and with Your help, we will finish it!
Shake us aggressively, pour out Your love.
Give hope to those who have stopped and given up.
Show signs and wonders, Lord, for Your glory!
