Mathew 26 : 14-16 Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus

14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests

15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.

Mathew 26:1-25 starts with the plot to Kill Jesus

Passover wasn’t the right time for them but to the Christ it was his time.

Before the betrayer could act, the anointing at Simon’s house happened

The Anointing at Bethany

Mathew 26 :6-13

6 And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,

7 a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.

8 But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?

9 For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”

10 But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.

11 For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.

12 For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial.

13 Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.”

Mathew 26: 14-15

Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus

15 and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.

16 So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.

To betrayed by one of your own should be unheard of, but it happened

Mathew 26: 20 -25

Jesus Celebrates Passover with His Disciples

20 When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.

21 Now as they were eating, He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

22 And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?”

23 He answered and said, “He who dipped hishand with Me in the dish will betray Me.

24 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed!

It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.”

25 Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, “Rabbi, is it I?”, He said to him, “You have said it.”

Mathew 26: 26-30

Jesus take communion with his disciples

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, [c]blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”

27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.

28 For this is My blood of the [d]new covenant, which is shed for many for the [e]remission of sins.

29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.”

30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Many times I have cried to Jesus over these settings of scriptures

All the players are in the house as I say often, meaning all the conditions had to be right and all the characters had to be in place for this series of events to happen.

The disciples drank from his cup

We have drank from his cup, they ate his bread, we ate his bread.

His cup is life to us, but it came at the cost of his life. Only Jesus could drink the death that was in his cup.

Mathew 26: 31-35

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial

31 Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be [f]made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written:

‘I will strike the Shepherd,
And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

32 But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”

33 Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are [g]made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.”

34 Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

35 Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And so said all the disciples.

Mathew 26: 36-44

The Prayer in the Garden

36 Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.”

37 And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.

38 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.

40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?

41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, [h]if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

43 And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.

44 So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45 Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour [i]is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46 Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.”

When  know something that has been revealed to you in the Spirit

The Spirit is your one friend who will never leave or forsake you

He will not betray you ever. Your friends, your family, but never him.

Notice the progression of the days and events right before the betrayal Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane.

This Garden is where you have todeal with the cup you drink from.

Mathew 26: 39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.

Luke 22:41-44

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed,

42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”

43 [f]Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Your greatest strength will come from God

To do the supernatural will of God takes a supernatural touch from God

If there had been no garden it would not happen.

Judas betrayed the son of God with a kiss.

I have a question: are you kissable?

Some people you can’t kiss

Are you kissable?

The wind will kiss the leaves of a tree.

A momma or daddy will kiss their children good night

A husband will kiss wife as he leaves for work.

Are you kissable?

Judas kissed Jesus

Judas was about to commit suicide

The kiss of death was on his lips

When judas kissed Jesus it wasn’t the kiss of honor or a mark of affection,

John 13:27 gives us insight into this kiss

Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him.

Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

Satan thru the veil of human flesh kissed the son of God

 An act of defiance,

An act of rebellion.

His heart was full of the devil.

Mathew 27:3-8 Judas Hangs Himself

3 Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

4 saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”

And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it!

5 Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

6 But the chief priests took the silver pieces and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because they are the price of blood.”

7 And they consulted together and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.

8 Therefore that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

This man’s life was taken

Hells depression expressed. This section makes me cry.

Who am I, it could have been me.

Judas betrayed Jesus

There is no hope when you reject Jesus

The only sin that I know of that will send you to hell is rejecting Jesus.

The rejection of Israel

I see Judas rising again from the grave, the rejector of Jesus

“President Biden deserves great credit for supporting Israel’s campaign to destroy Hamas.

President Biden deserves strong condemnation for greenlighting the funding of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the main financier of and weapons supplier for the horrific October 7 attacks on Israel.

It is beyond belief that he would make available $10 billion for a regime that will turn around and use this money to wage war against America and Israel

“Five weeks after the October 7 massacre and in the wake of 55 attacks on U.S. forces since October 17, the idea of making $10 billion available to the sponsor of all this evil makes little sense.

Congress rightfully pushed to lock down the $6 billion in Qatar; it should move quickly to lock down this $10 billion too.”

|Israel-Palestine conflict

US House passes $14.5bn military aid package for Israel.

Twice President Biben has released funds frozen from Iran, one for 6 billion dollars and then another 10 billion. Yes it was Iran’s own money, but it was money frozen in banks overseas.

Can you see the double jeopardy, let’s keep the killing going, the deep betrayal of Israel By America

A two state solution called for by the U.N. IS not going to do anything but lead to a Daniel 9:27 peace accord.

If Israel allowed the two state solution to go further they would give up all of east Jesrusalemand the temple mount.

In America and around the world the destruction of the jews is a common core, the Muslims have infiltrated our government, even to the white house, and eventually it will be in our Military.

I see Judas rising from the grave.
