Exodus 34:29–35
29 Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.
30 So when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him.
31 Then Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned to him, and Moses talked with them.
32 Afterward, all the children of Israel came near, and he gave them as commandments all that the Lord had spoken with him on Mount Sinai.
33 And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil on his face.
34 But whenever Moses went in before the Lord to speak with Him, he would take the veil off until he came out, and he would come out and speak to the children of Israel whatever he had been commanded.
35 And whenever the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone, then Moses would put the veil on his face again, until he went in to speak with Him.
This great prophet, miracle-working man of God, extraordinary man of faith, had something we all need, and that’s the glory of God that rested on him.
Today, Hollywood wants to sell death with no decay; they put Cinderella in a casket of glass, and it’s as if her body will not decay.
I want the glory of God to shine on my face. I want the world to belong to Jesus. I know I’m not pretty, and even when I do my best, I see the same thing, but when I’m with Jesus, my face shines.
You can’t make any mistakes when one of his children walks into the room; the glory is present.
Hebrews 11:32-12:2
New King James Version
32 And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also ofDavid and Samuel and the prophets:
33 who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
35 women were brought back to life.Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, so that they might obtain a better resurrection.
36 Still others had trials of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment.
37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, and they were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, and tormented—
38 of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise,
40 God having provided something better for us, “that they should not be made perfect apart from us.”
They almost obtained perfection; the glory hides the imperfections. When they saw Moses’ face, they didn’t look at his belly.
I’m sure some looked every day to see the glory.
Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus stood at the right hand of God,
56, and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord;
58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
60 Then he kneeled down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
What started all this anyway? At 6:15 a.m., or ACTS 6:15, in the Earth realm, we find the answer to Acts 6:15. And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.
Looked like Jesus, looked like Moses,
What is keeping us from the glory? What’s on your face? What’s being manifested on your face? Is it the joy of the Lord?
Or is it the anger that was upon Steven’s accuser’s and murderers’ faces?
Cain had the face of his father, yet his face was distorted by the demon of murder. The demon of hate will always make you lose the image of God; the glory will depart.
Shine on my face. Jesus
