Crossing Jordan

Numbers 14: 1:10

New King James Version

Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan

1 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night.

2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness!

3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land to [a]fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?”

4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”

5 Then Moses and Aaron [b]fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.

6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes;

7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land.

8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’

9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they[c] are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”

10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.

When the children of God refuse to walk with the Lord, the wilderness is the only place you can turn to.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Speak life and you shall live.

I’m with Moses and Aaron. I tear my clothes with Joshua and Caleb on this one.

God brought me out of Egypt, it was the Lord who delivered me, and I am going to cross my Jordan.

If you die here, your blood will be on you.

An Unclean Spirit Returns

43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.

44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.

45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

When the blood was applied, the devil had to let go.

When the blood was applied, the justice of God called for God to forgive those who trust him.

A life had been given, and the blood was applied to the lintel, and the door post.

The death angel couldn’t pass.

Where the blood wasn’t applied, the death Angel passed through that house.

Dry places are  places in which the demonic live.

When you find yourself in a dead church, it’s a church called Ichabod.

The devil likes that church.  Nothing happens, no one gets saved, because it’s a dry place.

Dry places. The devil loves a dead church, a church that wanders in the wilderness, just waiting on their day to die.

I can ask those wandering in the wilderness, how are you?

Oh I’m great! God has blessed me. I have a roof up above me, food on my table, shoes on my feet.

A dry church has no one speaking in tongues, a dead dry church can baptize you and you go down dry and come up dry.

But a church that operates in the power of the Holy Ghost can baptize a dry carcass in a muddy Jordan, and come up with the heavens opening, life coming in, tears flowing where water can’t.

So you want me to die in the wilderness with you? No way! You’re a nut.

I know you think I’m crazy, but on the contrary, you’re the nut.  I’m crossing over this Jordan.

No more desert for me.

Walking with the dying isn’t going to be what you thought it is.

God saved you and  filled you with his Spirit. You turned away from him; he is not obligated to do it again.

I refuse to let this church walk in the dry places.

Be careful who you walk with.  Some are gonna turn and walk in the wilderness till they die.

Me and my wife, my kids. We are going into the Promised land.

We are crossing over Jordan. I’ve seen the land by faith, and we are going over to possess the land.

God has promised to be with us.

He goes with us.

How many will say I refuse to die here!

Lets move with the cloud.
