The Angels of Heaven – Part 2
In John 19, “Pilate Tries to Release Jesus”
Pilate had to make a choice between a living Jesus or a dead Jesus. A dead Jesus would end his troubles with Him, but the problem is Jesus would die, and He would be resurrected to life again You cannot kill God.
Pilate was afraid of a living Jesus.
A living Jesus means you will have to believe all He said. He said He would rebuild the temple three days after his death. Are you hearing me? He submitted to death, laid down his life. His heart stopped beating. This is not a Christophany, but the word made flesh.
John 19:1-16 (New English Translation)
1Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged severely.[a] 2 The soldiers[b] braided[c] a crown of thorns[d] and put it on his head, and they clothed him in a purple robe.[e] 3 They[f] came up to him again and again[g] and said, “Hail, king of the Jews!”[h] And they struck him repeatedly[i] in the face.
4 Again Pilate went out and said to the Jewish leaders,[j] “Look, I am bringing him out to you, so that you may know that I find no reason for an accusation[k] against him.” 5 So Jesus came outside, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe.[l] Pilate[m] said to them, “Look, here is the man!”[n] 6 When the chief priests and their officers saw him, they shouted out, “Crucify[o] him! Crucify him!”[p] Pilate said,[q] “You take him and crucify him![r] Certainly[s] I find no reason for an accusation[t] against him!” 7 The Jewish leaders[u] replied,[v] “We have a law,[w] and according to our law he ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!”[x]
8 When Pilate heard what they said,[y] he was more afraid than ever,[z] 9 and he went back into the governor’s residence[aa] and said to Jesus, “Where do you come from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. 10 So Pilate said,[ab] “Do you refuse to speak to me? Don’t you know I have the authority[ac] to release you, and to crucify you?”[ad] 11 Jesus replied, “You would have no authority[ae] over me at all, unless it was given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you[af] is guilty of greater sin.”[ag]
12 From this point on, Pilate tried[ah] to release him. But the Jewish leaders[ai] shouted out,[aj] “If you release this man,[ak] you are no friend of Caesar![al] Everyone who claims to be a king[am] opposes Caesar!” 13 When Pilate heard these words he brought Jesus outside and sat down on the judgment seat[an] in the place called “The Stone Pavement”[ao] (Gabbatha in[ap] Aramaic).[aq] 14 (Now it was the day of preparation[ar] for the Passover, about noon.[as])[at] Pilate[au] said to the Jewish leaders,[av] “Look, here is your king!”
15 Then they[aw] shouted out, “Away with him! Away with him![ax] Crucify[ay] him!” Pilate asked,[az] “Shall I crucify your king?” The high priests replied, “We have no king except Caesar!” 16 Then Pilate[ba] handed him over[bb] to them to be crucified.
People fear a living Jesus.
In Mathew 27:19, Pilate’s wife tells Pilate to have nothing to do with Jesus’ death.
Although her appearance in the New Testament is brief (only 38 words) and she is unnamed there, Pontius Pilate’s wife is known for her attempt to prevent her husband’s involvement in the death of Jesus of Nazareth. As a Roman, she lived in Caesarea but seems to have accompanied her husband to Jerusalem and may have become acquainted there with aspects of Jewish culture. Later histories record her name as Procla, or perhaps Claudia Procla, and suggest she was a God-fearer or perhaps even a proselyte to Judaism. Subsequent Christian myths magnify and embellish her support for Christians.
The Christophanies of the Old Testament never happened again in the New Testament. Why? Because Jesus was made flesh and dwelled among us. In the Old Testament Christophanies, Christ never joined the human race; but in the New Testament, he joined the human race forever. Jesus became body, soul, and Spirit, Jesus became the permanent union between God and man.
If you receive Christ as your savior, you must receive the unseen world as well… the angelic world.
The Hebrew word for angel is mal`ach, and the Greek word is Angelos. Both words mean “messenger” and describe one who executes the purpose and will of the one whom they serve. celestial beings called “angels,” The holy angels are messengers of God, serving God and doing His bidding. The fallen angels serve satan, the god of this world “age.” satan is in his last few days of his self-appointed election.
Holy Ones
“The Holy Ones”, a creation of a holy God, they were created perfect without any flaw or sin. Angels are called holy because of their purpose. They were “set apart” by God and for God as His servants and as attendants to His holiness.
Psalms 89:5-6
5 O Lord, the heavens praise your amazing deeds,
as well as your faithfulness in the angelic assembly.
6 For who in the skies can compare to the Lord?
Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings,
The word Host” in the Hebrew tsaba means, “army, armies, host .” It is a military term and carries the idea of warfare. Angels are referred to as the “host,” which calls our attention to two ideas. First, it is used to describe God’s angels as the “armies of heaven” who serve in the army of God engaged in spiritual warfare.
Psalms 89:6-8
6 For who in the skies can compare to the Lord?
Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings,
7 a God who is honored in the great angelic assembly,
and more awesome than all who surround him?
8 O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies! Who is strong like you,
O Lord? Your faithfulness surrounds you.
There was a warfare to keep Hannah barren. What if her barrenness wasn’t normal? What if her barrenness was the product of spiritual warfare? Unstated in this word is the reason for her barrenness. In my imagination, I see the Holy angel that carries the power to align fertility. He laid his hands on Hannah, who conceived and gave the Lord a mighty man of God.
James 5:14-16
14Is anyone among you ill? He should summon the elders of the church, and they should pray for him and anoint him with olive oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up—and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.
In our warfare against sickness and disease we pray that our bodies will come into alignment with the word of God.
There are messenger angels, there are angels of Glory they have been in the throne room, Holy Angels who carry the anointing to heal human bodies.
What if we learn to use the authority we really have? We are power assisted. When I lay hands on you by faith, God is doing the work. I’m opening a transmission line in which heaven responds. Let us lay hands on those who carry cancer. There is a cancer-killing anointing I promise, faith unlocks the miraculous. The angels who carry cancer-killing anointing are among us.
What if cancer was a demon deposit? If demons can’t possess you, they will oppress you. What if the “cancer” is to stop God’s plan for your life?
When I pray for you, I don’t summon an Angel. I pray to the Lord, and he sends the Ministering Spirits.
Faith releases the anointing.
John 4:24
God is spirit, and the people who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
Since God is Spirit, it is natural to assume that there are created beings who more closely resemble God than man.
I think we need to level up. Let’s give the angels a run for the anointing, consecrations, dedications, a powerful word life and a powerful prayer life will bring a door to the anointing that is miraculous. Hear me Angels have no prayer life, only the human realm can enter the unseen world through faith by prayer.
There is a material kingdom, an animal kingdom, and a human kingdom; So, it may be assumed that there is an angelic or spirit kingdom. However, Angelology rests not upon reason or hypothesis, but upon revelation.
Psalms 8:3–5
3When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit[c] him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than [d]the angels,
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.
Job 38:4-7
4“Where were you when I laid the
foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you possess understanding!
5Who set its measurements -if you know-
or who stretched a measuring line across it?
6On what were its bases set, or who laid its cornerstone-
7 when the morning stars sang in chorus,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Jesus created the Angels before he created the earth. Jesus has no cookie cutter angels, they all have their own personality, they all resemble the father. All angels carry authority, each one different than the other. Imagine with me an Angel who carries the knowledge of God, just being around this Angel will bring wisdom, when he passes by you know the answer or when this angel comes, he causes revelation knowledge to come.
Some Angels specialize in deliverance. Ask Peter.
James is Killed and Peter Imprisoned
Acts 12:1-10
1About that time King Herod[a] laid hands on[b] some from the church to harm them.[c] 2 He had James, the brother of John, executed with a sword.[d] 3 When he saw that this pleased the Jews,[e] he proceeded to arrest Peter too. (This took place during the feast of Unleavened Bread.)[f] 4 When he had seized him, he put him in prison, handing him over to four squads[g] of soldiers to guard him. Herod[h] planned[i] to bring him out for public trial[j] after the Passover. 5 So Peter was kept in prison, but those in the church were earnestly[k] praying to God for him.[l] 6 On that very night before Herod was going to bring him out for trial,[m] Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, while[n] guards in front of the door were keeping watch[o] over the prison. 7 Suddenly[p] an angel of the Lord[q] appeared, and a light shone in the prison cell. He struck[r] Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, “Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off Peter’s[s] wrists.[t] 8 The angel said to him, “Fasten your belt[u] and put on your sandals.” Peter[v] did so. Then the angel[w] said to him, “Put on your cloak[x] and follow me.” 9 Peter[y] went out[z] and followed him;[aa] he did not realize that what was happening through the angel was real,[ab] but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 After they had passed the first and second guards,[ac] they came to the iron[ad] gate leading into the city. It[ae] opened for them by itself,[af] and they went outside and walked down one narrow street,[ag] when at once the angel left him.
Colossians 1:16 (NET)
16for all things in heaven and on earth were created by
him—all things, whether visible or invisible, whether
thrones or dominions, whether principalities or
powers—all things were created through him and for him.
Where did demons come from? When satan was thrown from heaven, he took with him 1/3 of the angels. These fallen angels became demons who would inhabit people.
Revelations 5:11-12 (New King James Version)
Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their number was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice:
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
Revelations 5:11-12 (New American Standard Bible)
11Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was [f]myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power, wealth, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing.”
Myriads of myriads of Angels, all doing the bidding of the Lord.
I believe we are Power assisted; I have the Holy Spirit living within me. And I Have Authority given by God to release the anointing. With my mouth I can activate Angels. I was made a little lower than the Angels, yet God has given us what he didn’t give Angels: A soul.
Jesus came down from God and lives in a human body, and in the body redeemed man on the cross, I have a commanded life.
Mark 16:15-18
15And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who [d]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[e] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
