Job said if a man dies shall he live again.
Job 14:14-14 (KJV) If a man die, shall he live [again]? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.
We are horrified by death.
Paul said to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord.
2 Corinthians 5:8-8 (KJV) We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
And that he wanted to go and be with Christ
Philippians 1:23-23 (KJV) For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
When you die, you will immediately go into God’s presence or out of God’s presence.
Resurrection is the meeting of the soul with a body that God raise’s from the dead.
Salvation is predicated on the Resurrection.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Psalms 16:10-11 (KJV) 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.
It’s all over the old testament the Messiah must die and have any eternal kingdom so there must be a resurrection.
Psalms 17:15-15 (NKJV) As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake with thy likeness .
DEATH DESTROYED

Central Truth: Christ’s resurrection guarantees victory over death for believers.

The message that death is defeated motivates Christians to declare the good news to the lost.
