The cage of religion holds many slaves of flesh. Religion loves to keep people in man-made cages. It’s more profitable to leave you addicted than set them free, treat them but never see them delivered.
7 The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. 8 So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite. 9 Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.
You may think God isn’t aware of your situation, but nothing catches God by surprise. Your situation is not new to him. God’s not in panic mode. When you were born, he wasn’t wondering what to do with you. In your mother’s womb, God already had a plan for your life. The devil is a liar.
In Exodus 3, God’s plan is unpacked, He’s sending Moses to Egypt. When God sends you, it’s not like the President of the U.S. sending an emissary. Moses was anointed; he carried destiny. The Fire that was upon the burning bush was now upon Moses.
Some don’t understand God’s ways, but God had to set Moses free from Egypt also. Moses was a slave baby, born a slave. God didn’t create you to be a slave to the flesh. Moses’ mother and father were slaves to pharaoh, and their parents were slaves. The mental chains will always be greater than the metal chains.
If it was just metal chains, you could break free, but the mental chains have held people in the bondage of flesh. Religion makes a lot of money on the sickness and bondage of others.
Today there is a pill for everything. The Spirit of God is crying right now, loose my sons and my daughters, set them free. The Power of the Holy Spirit is supernatural, the Power to set sons and daughters free is in us.
Moses was pushed out of Egypt, 40 years in the wilderness. Why? He had to learn to be free. In revival it’s just as important what dies as it is what lives.
When I was 18 years old, God thrust me out of Egypt, saved my soul, and filled me with His mighty Holy Spirit.
Jude 1:3 (NSAB 1995): Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.
Today is Pentecost Sunday. Today the Holy Spirit is going to release you into the wild. You have never known what it means to be free.
We had two dogs, Memphis and Thor; they lived their lives in a cage. We never closed their cages, they would. They weren’t comfortable with open cages. They locked their own cages.
Religion is like that. You come to terms with your prison. Before Moses became a deliverer, he had to be delivered. A leader who is bound will never lead you to deliverance.
Listen to what those in bondage to Egypt told Moses in the wilderness. This is after they had been delivered on eagles’ wings:
(Exodus 14:12) “Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”
Religion is like slave trading; you go from church to church with no deliverance. Religion moves its slaves but never has freedom from the cage.
Pentecost is what you need, the Spirit of God will set you free. Generation Z, you are a slave, it’s a generational curse. But God promised this generation that He would visit you. The devil has placed in the minds and hearts of Generation Z that there is no one coming to help them. Yet God’s word declares your deliverance.
28 “It will come about after this
That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind;
And your sons and daughters will prophesy,
Your old men will dream dreams,
Your young men will see visions.
29 “Even on the male and female servants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
