The Day is Upon Us

Genesis 6:1-8 (NIV)

Wickedness in the World

When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

Until Jesus died for your sins and my sins, it’s unimaginable that I was an enemy of God.  I didn’t vote to be born; how could I have ever been an enemy of God. Listen to this preacher, before Jesus I was an enemy of God, I was a man with no peace, no peace with God, no peace with the devil, no peace with sin. Eternally lost on my way to a devil’s hell.

But God gave his only son and through the blood of Jesus. God was satisfied with Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. He died for me; he died for the ungodly. Now we have peace with Jesus. The blood put God on our side.

In my text, man was in a bad place. All flesh had sinned and the hearts of man, whether it was man or woman or child, was upon evil continually. God determined to destroy all of us. Sin opened the door. It’s called death. Do you know sin has a 100% score? Everyone will die, only those born again of the Spirit of God will live again.

Genesis 6:9:

This is the account of Noah and his family.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

Genesis 6:14:

So make yourself an ark of cypress[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.

Noah found grace in the sight of God. Noah and his family would be saved.

It took Noah and his family 120 years to build the Ark, the only way to escape the judgment was to be on the inside of the Ark, the Ark is a type of Christ, the only way you can be saved is to be inside the Ark called Christ.

God sent his Spirit on the day of Pentecost and now when you repent of your sins the HolySpirit comes inside, born of the Spirit, you was Born of the Spirit let me lead you to the water, the water is a place to wash the body, symbolically we tell the world I have been washed I’m clean, I’m justified, I’m sanctified. Jesus washed my sins away.

Now let me get to where God has dealt so heavily with my heart. “Reaching you” is what God has put on my heart.

Reaching you

is my number one priority, I feel in my heart I’m trying to pull you in the Ark, I remember the day Jesus saved me, and today he wants to save you. I feel the power of the HolySpirit, I’m reaching for you. I know you thought no one cared But God has put this in my heart to reach you.

In Jeremiah 29:11, God said I know the plans I have for you!

God said no matter who your birth father was, I’m your heavenly father. and I have a plan for your life.

God said I know the plans. God has designed a plan, his plan, a divine plan. Hell is fighting you and has always fought you, why? Because of Gods plan for your life.

Isaiah 55:8-11 (NIV)

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,”

declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow

come down from heaven,

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the Sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

God said I know the plans I have for your life; you may have missed it, you may have messed up everything, but God said for me to reach you. He has a plan for your life.  So, you failed, you have been divorced, you have sinned grievously!  Jesus said, “Reach You”, for He has a plan for your life, the reason you were born was to fulfill His plan!
