Looking at the signs
Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple
Luke 21:5 Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was [c]adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said,
6 “These things which you see—the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.”
Luke 21: The Destruction of Jerusalem
20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her.
22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people.
24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
In 70 Ad the temple was destroyed as Jesus said,
The Coming of the Son of Man
25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
By what Jesus said you can be encouraged. Our redemption draweth near.
Yes Jerusalem was destroyed, the Jews were hauled off and dispersed all over the world.
The Balfour Declaration was a public statement issued by the British Government in 1917 during the First World War announcing its support for the establishment of a “national home for the Jewish people” in Palestine, then an Ottoman region with a small minority Jewish population.
The declaration was contained in a letter dated 2 November 1917 from the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Lord Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, for transmission to the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland.
The text of the declaration was published in the press on 9 November 1917.
The Jews hadn’t been in there homeland since 70 ad
September 24, 1867, Mark Twain wrote of the ancient lands of Israel.
Throughout Innocents Abroad, Twain explicitly states that the area was desolate and devoid of inhabitants.
His group entered Palestine from the north, passing through such sites as the Sea of Galilee, the Banias, and Nazareth.
Riding on horseback through the Jezreel Valley, Twain observed, “There is not a solitary village throughout its whole extent – not for 30 miles in either direction.
There are two or three small clusters of Bedouin tents, but not a single permanent habitation.
One may ride 10 miles, hereabouts, and not see 10 human beings.
“He continues, “Of all the lands there are for dismal scenery, I think Palestine must be the prince.
Can the curse of the Deity beautify a land?
“Palestine sits in sackcloth and ashes. Over it broods the spell of a curse that has withered its fields and fettered its energies.”
1917 the Jews began to come home, looking like nothing, but it was their ancient homeland.
In 1948 David Ben Gurion declared Israel to be a nation again. I think the Curse mark Twain spoke of has been broken.
God’s clock started ticking
Here we are, the end of church age, and I believe Jesus is about to return, which will ignite the 7 years of tribulations.
I don’t want to tell you things you already know, but help you to see a little further.
A 3000 year old Prophecy is fulfilling right before our eyes.
Psalm 83
New King James Version
1Do not keep silent, O God!
Do not hold Your peace,
And do not be still, O God!
2 For behold, Your enemies make a [a]tumult;
And those who hate You have [b]lifted up their head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”
5 For they have consulted together with one [c]consent;
They [d]form a confederacy against You:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot. Selah
Psalm 83 foretells a future 10-member alliance, comprising the Arab territories that mostly share common borders with Israel.
Psalm 83 reveals the ancient identity of the nations in the alliance, which could also include notable terrorist organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS and more.
“It includes the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites, Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek, Philistia and the inhabitants of Tyre.
Even Assyria has allied with them, lending its strength to the descendants of Lot.
These groups are no longer identifiable by their ancient names. The modern-day equivalents of these nations will form an alliance and will be plotting to destroy the nation of Israel.
They include Tents of Edom = [decendants of Esau] Palestinian Refugees and Southern Jordanians
Ishmaelites = Saudi Arabians
Moab = Palestinian Refugees and Central Jordanians
Hagrites = Egyptians
Gebal = Northern Lebanese
Ammon = Palestinian Refugees and Northern Jordanians
Amalek = Arabs South of Israel
Philista = Palestinian Refugees and Hamas of Gaza Strip
Inhabitants of Tyre = Hezbollah and Southern Lebanese
Assyria = Syrians and perhaps Northern Iraqis included
Children of Lot = Moab and Ammon
The 3000 year old Prophecy hourglass is running out of sand.
Israel is, in fact, preparing to destroy Hezbollah, a proxy of Iran.
Iran has spun a web of destruction over the nation of Israel.
Israel has almost destroyed Hamas, a proxy of Iran.
This week Israel has set it’s sights on Lebanon.
In fact, they have struck targets in Lebanon already. The destruction of Damasus is on the Prophetic Horizon
Isaiah 17
New King James Version
Proclamation Against Syria and Israel
1 The burden[a] against Damascus.
“Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city,
And it will be a ruinous heap.
2 [b]The cities of Aroer are forsaken;
They will be for flocks
Which lie down, and no one will make them afraid.
3 The fortress also will cease from Ephraim,
The kingdom from Damascus,
And the remnant of Syria;
They will be as the glory of the children of Israel,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
Jeremiah 49: Judgment on Damascus
23 Against Damascus.
“Hamath and Arpad are shamed,
For they have heard bad news.
They are fainthearted;
There is [i]trouble on the sea;
It cannot be quiet.
24 Damascus has grown feeble;
She turns to flee,
And fear has seized her.
Anguish and sorrows have taken her like a woman in [j]labor.
25 Why is the city of praise not deserted, the city of My joy?
26 Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets,
And all the men of war shall be cut off in that day,” says the Lord of hosts.
27 “I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus,
And it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.”
Amos 1: Judgment on the Nations
3 Thus says the Lord:
“For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four,
I will not turn away its punishment,
Because they have threshed Gilead with implements of iron.
4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, Which shall devour the palaces of Ben-Hadad.
5 I will also break the gate bar of Damascus,
And cut off the inhabitant from the Valley of Aven,
And the one who [a]holds the scepter from [b]Beth Eden.
The people of Syria shall go captive to Kir,”
Says the Lord.
