Is there no prophet?
Numbers 12
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
12 Now Miriam and Aaron talked against Moses [their brother] because of his [a]Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite woman.
2 And they said, Has the Lord indeed spoken only by Moses? Has He not spoken also by us? And the Lord heard it.
3 Now the man Moses was very meek (gentle, kind, and humble) or above all the men on the face of the earth.
4 Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, Come out, you three, to the Tent of Meeting. And the three of them came out.
5 The Lord came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the Tent door and called Aaron and Miriam, and they came forward.
6 And He said, Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord make Myself known to him in a vision and speak to him in a dream.
7 But not so with My servant Moses; he is entrusted and faithful in all My house.
8 With him I speak mouth to mouth [directly], clearly and not in dark speeches; and he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?
9 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them, and He departed.
10 And when the cloud departed from over the Tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. And Aaron looked at Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous!
11 And Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I plead with you, lay not the sin upon us in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.
12 Let her not be as one dead, already half decomposed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.
13 And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech You!
14 And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed for seven days? Let her be shut up outside the camp for seven days, and after that let her be brought in again.
15 So Miriam was shut up without the camp for seven days, and the people did not journey on until Miriam was brought in again.
16 Afterward [they] removed from Hazeroth and encamped in the Wilderness of Paran.
The old testament Prophets received revelation by direct revelation, meaning God spoke, or they were visited by an angel.
He visited in dreams and visions. Jacob laid his head on a rock and saw the angels ascending and descending.
The Lord spoke to him. Prophets hear the voice of the Lord.
Psalms 105: 15 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”
Be very careful what you say about Gods anointed, or his prophets.
This house has a call on it to raise up. We have a “raising up anointing” upon us.
I will bring Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists, Pastor’s, and Teachers to it.
Learn to always show honor. Don’t make the mistake and dishonor the man or woman of God.
Whatever you do, show respect for the leadership of this church. If I was to look too hard, I could find your faults. You let me judge my leaders.
While Moses stood in the tabernacle with Aaron and Miriam, Moses never said one word while God spoke.
Interestingly the only time you hear Moses is when he is praying for Miriam’s life
She was a dead woman walking.
She had an advanced case of Leprosy. God caused her body to reflect her heart.
What a blessing to be able to turn death back from his cause.
The words of Moses turned the death angel.
What a blessing!
The only thing that saved Mirams life was the words from the mouth of Moses.
Don’t underestimate the consecration of the man of God or woman of God.
May the priest of this house remain faithful to the Lord, avoiding gossip and refraining from unclean speech, for such words reveal the condition of the heart.
Is there no prophet?
No matter how old or young a prophet is, or no matter the skill level of a Prophet, always show respect.
God is talking to them. God hears every word you say, and heaven records the words of your lips. Are you speaking life or are you speaking death to your own soul?
The words of a prophet are not his own, but rather they are the Lord’s words, just their voice.
I don’t want to be guilty of rejecting the voice of God. you better show much love and respect. They may have to pray the life back into your body.
I hear the words in my ear “Is there no prophet? Is there no one who seeks the Lord’s voice?
Every Prophet has a cave. Every prophet has an altar.
A real prophet does not exalt himself. Moses had no time for pride. This man was talked about, and threatened to be stoned. Someone had put him down every day of his life.
Yet this Prophet was the key to life of Israel. If Moses had died, the water would have dried up, and the food would have ended.
The sun would have baked the children of Israel.
What’s your consecration level on a level 1-10
Listen to Samuels 1st prophecy
1st Samuel 3: 11 Then the Lord said to Samuel: “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.
12 In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end.
13 For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.
14 And therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”
Samuel was just a boy, yet he heard the word of the Lord. The next morning Eli called Samuel to himself and said “What did God say?
1st Samuel 3:15 So Samuel lay down until morning and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision.
16 Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son!”
He answered, “Here I am.”
1st Samuel 3: 17-19 And he said, “What is the word that the Lord spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. God do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the things that He said to you.”
18 Then Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him.”
19 So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.
The consecration level Samuel had was not like Eli’s. Samuel was a 10 and Eli was a 1. I would give him less but 1 is the lowest number on my scale.
The word of the Lord is precious.
There are so many false, untrue, misleading, prophets.
I will never bring a false prophet to this pulpit.
The word of the Lord is precious to me. The lambs are precious to me.
This is a prophetic house. We respect the prophetic anointing.
If you’re a prophet, this is a safe place for you.
Your gift is cherished in this house. Why are dreamers prophetic? It’s because God is talking.
When there is a need, when you need a word from the Lord, is there no Prophet.
My heart today is to call you to a life of consecration to the Lord. I want your consecration level today to rise.
Maybe you have been privileged to be in the school of the prophets. I have had much oil poured in your life.
Or maybe you’re like Isaiah or Jeremiah or Hosea, or Amos or Ezekiel. You didn’t get to go to the school of Prophets but the call is upon your life.
There are those in this house who don’t have the prophetic mantle as a prophet or prophetess, but God has consecrated you to himself.
Maybe God has called you to be an intercessor. I’m calling you to move the needle of your consecration starting today.
Amos 3:7 7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
Prophets can bring great blessings.
Elisha and the Widow’s Oil
2nd Kings 4 1-7
4 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”
2 So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
3 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few.
4 And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.”
5 So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out.
6 Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.”
And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased.
7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
1st kings 17: 8-15
Elijah and the Widow
8 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying,
9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”
10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.”
11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.”
12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a [a]jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”
13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.
14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ ”
15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.
16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.
There is a prophetic mantle on this church, and God is raising up some prophets. I cant give this mantle, but I can help you find it and pull it down.
Forgive me if I have overlooked you. Today is a day for you to step forward. Will you let all of us know, will you step out in faith.
I never want a person to come to this church and there be no Prophet to help.
This church is birthing Prophets, and I want my dying words to be a blessing to my family. I want the last words I say to be coveted.
You may say, “Man of God, is there a word for me?”
And we will say
“Yes, there is a word”
