Its our Hour
John7:25-30
25 Now some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is this not He whom they seek to kill?
26 But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ?
27 However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.”
28 Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.
29 But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
30 Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
31 And many of the people believed in Him, and said, “When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?”
He meant that the hour for him to show Himself as Messiah and king of the Jews had not yet arrived.
In a broader view, His hour did not “fully come” until He was crucified.
Though He did do as His mother wished, His hour still had ‘not yet come’.
He did not publicly declare Himself as the Messiah.
There was a lot of speculation, however, by the people and the authorities.
John 7: 1-13
” But when the Jewish Festival of Tabernacles was near, Jesus’ brothers said to him, “Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do.
No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”
For even his own brothers did not believe in him. Therefore, Jesus told them, “My time is not yet here; for you any time will do.
The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.”
Jesus’ brothers wished Him to publicly announce Himself as the Messiah and prove it with public miracles.
They were saying that if He was the Messiah, He needed to announce it before the whole people and prove it, not just walk around Galilee with His Disciples performing miracles.
Jesus did later go up to the Festival, but in private. He taught there, too
John 7: 14-15 Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
15 And the Jews marveled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”
He was viewed as a wise teacher with the power of God behind Him, but only a few were beginning to understand that He was the Messiah.
Jesus had performed several miracles up to this point, some very public.
But the question of whether He was the Messiah had not been decided by the people.
Some, thinking He was, wanted to crown Him king. Others, believing His ministry false, wished to kill Him.
Being tried in the eye of the public was harsh. It happened in Jesus’s day and it is the same today.
This church is being tried in the eye of the public. Some say you have a great church pastor.
They see the works and they feel the Spirit.
They have seen the door to heaven open.
We are Pentecostals. HolyGhost filled, tongue talking. We lay hands on the sick.
We are doing the will of God.
“as I feel led”.
Bishop texted me Tuesday night and his text said, “It’s your hour, man of God.”
Right now our church is being judged in the courts of the public whether we are or are not from God.
Some love us while others hate us. Some see God has put His hand on us, but refuse to support what God is doing.
I’m here today to tell you that we are a “gate of heaven” church. The door to heaven is in us.
Jesus is reaching through us. Heaven is reaching the earth in this church.
We have been having a sovereign move of God. It is prophesied they are coming from the north, the south, the east and the west.
We have been feeding the natural hunger every night of the revival but God has been feeding the spiritual.
Let’s feed the hunger.
God will feed the hunger.
I love our attitude! Every service! We want Jesus. We want the Spirit of God,
Lets be hungry for God. It’s time to fast. God will feed the hunger!
It’s time to pray. God will feed the hunger!
Hunger is a sensation that motivates consumption.
The sensation of hunger typically manifests after only a few hours without eating and is generally considered to be unpleasant!
The desire to eat food, or appetite, is another sensation experienced with regard to eating.
I have an Appetite for the presence of God, and only God can fill that spot in my heart. I love you, but Jesus is more real than the air I breathe.
Is there a ‘God hunger’ in you?
Do you have symptoms of hungriness? ravenousness, emptiness, starvation, famine, malnutrition, malnourishment, undernourishment!
There is a famine of the Word of God,
When does hunger become famine?
Famine is the most severe form of food insecurity.
Famine is when malnutrition is widespread, and people have started dying of starvation through lack of access to sufficient, nutritious food.
Among the most vulnerable groups are internally displaced people and refugees caught between the frontlines of hunger, many of whom are totally dependent on food assistance for their survival.
God said Amos 8:11-12
International Standard Version
A Famine of the Word of God
11 “Look! The days are coming, “declares the Lord God, “when I will send a famine throughout the land not a famine of food or a thirst for water but rather a famine of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 People[a] will stagger from sea to sea, from north to east. They will run back and forth, searching for a message from the Lord, but they won’t find it.
The Famine is on people.
I’m here to tell you it’s our hour. The door of heaven is open, and God is pouring out blessings on us. The gate of heaven has been opened, and the Lord is pouring out on us.
Farming and Rain
In Israel the rain that falls in October and November when the rainy season starts is the autumn rain [“the former rain”]; and the rain which falls in March and April when the rainy season ends is the spring rain [“the latter rain”].
The former rain should fall enough to yield a good harvest for the year.
Since there is no rain during the dry season and the land is in an extremely arid condition, it is impossible to cultivate farmland unless it rains.
That is why farmers earnestly wait for the former rain while getting ready to farm for the year.
Looking at the land which is parched with the burning heat of the sun, they anxiously wait for the rain
Hosea 6:3c and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
I’m not almost Pentecost, I am Pentecost.
We have had the former rain and now the drought is about to break.
The latter rain is upon us. There is bread in the house of God.
God is going to answer your prayers.
Get in the rain
I don’t care what people say. I’m alive, and it’s so good to be alive
Bishop had a vision last week, He saw our church flooded and I was shouting in the water.
My prayer with many tears is that we always be able to receive the rain.
Dry ground will receive the rain as it should.
I’m shouting for the presence. I want the rain. It’s Our Hour
