Have an Esther courage!

Esther 4:11-17 (AMP)

11 “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that for any man or woman who comes to the king to the inner court without being summoned, he has but one law, that he is to be put to death, unless the king holds out to him the golden scepter so that he may live. And as for me, I have not been summoned to come to the king for these [last] thirty days.”

12 So they told Mordecai what Esther had said.

13 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not imagine that you in the king’s palace can escape any more than all the Jews.

14 For if you remain silent at this time, liberation and rescue will arise for the Jews from another place, and you and your father’s house will perish [since you did not help when you had the chance]. And who knows whether you have attained royalty for such a time as this [and for this very purpose]?”

15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai,

16 “Go, gather all the Jews that are present in Susa, and observe a fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids also will fast in the same way. Then I will go in to [see] the king [without being summoned], which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.”

17 So Mordecai went away and did exactly as Esther had commanded him.

Esther 5:1-2

On the third day [of the fast] Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace opposite his [throne] room. The king was sitting on his royal throne, facing the [main] entrance of the palace.

When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she found favor in his sight; and the king extended to her the golden scepter which was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the top of the scepter.

We do not have to be in harsh environments like a desert to encounter difficult times.

They can happen even when we are surrounded by peace and comfort!

This is what happened to Esther. She was a new queen who was living a good life with the love of the king.

But How many of y’all know that when your “comfortable” in your walk with the lord, is when he likes to remind you he’s not done with you yet and pushes you to go further in your walk with him!

Esther faced a difficult trial,  A man named Haman convinced the king to enact a decree ordering the killing of all Jewish people.

While Esther was Jewish she had been hiding her identity and Mordecai Esther’s cousin pleaded for her to talk to the king, but Esther said she couldn’t.

Back in that day anybody that came into the kings inner courts without being summoned was put to death, Unless the king would hold out to them the golden scepter so that they may live.

During that time Esther was afraid and refused to at first.. as speaking up would mean risking her life, but then Mordecai then noted to Esther that God may have made her queen for this very purpose – to save her people.

You know that’s how most Christians are these days. They are so comfortable with where they are, that when God says it’s time to go out and do what you’re called to do, Your so used to the normal and the comfortable that your afraid to do what your supposed to be doing.

Sometimes it even takes a little push from God and a little reminder like hey this is what you’re called to do!

This is what you’re supposed to be doing!

All it took for Esther was just a little push a little reminder that maybe this is why she is queen. she is called to save her people.

Even though Esther was scared of what would happen she still prayed and fasted for three days and nights.

Esther took a stand and said even though I might die I will fight for my people!

I am going to take a chance and step out even if it means I lose my life! Because I know this is what God has planned for me to do and I know his hand is on my life!!

That is what I want to be like!

Even though I am terrified of taking that next step! Even though I don’t know what will happen next! I am going to step out with courage! I am going to step into that court like Esther did put my royal robe on and say I am going to do what God has called me to do even though it might risk my friendships, family members because if it’s God will then so be it!

We have to be like Esther! Even though she was fearful of what would happen she still took an action, she still took a stand, and replaced that fear with courage and then went on to save the Jewish people!

We have to learn to act despise of our own emotions.

Of course this is by no means an easy thing to do!

Recently in my life the Lord revealed to me  what I am called to do.

I was so stubborn that God literally had to tell me that I was called to preach three times by three different people.

I was so afraid because if you know me you know that I was definitely not the most boldest person.

I eventually just had to say okay God even though I am completely terrified of what is going to happen I am still going to step out with courage and do what you have called me to do! God this has nothing to do with me but it’s all about you! I am just your vessel!

This is has been my prayer.. God help me to do with what you have called me to do! God even if nobody listens to me even if I get rejected I will still step out with courage take a stand and do your will that you have for my life!!

So today I challenge you. I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone, To step out of the normal, To start doing things that are not exactly your cup of tea.

Like witnessing to random people at school or work, Or singing a special at church, Or even doing a little devotional or a testimony.

Because Anything that you do for God is all that matters! Start praying for an Esther courage!

Take that step!!!
