Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian.
And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush.
So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.
Then Moses said, ‘I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.’
So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, ‘Moses, Moses!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ Then He said,
‘Do not draw near this place.
Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
Moreover, He said, ‘I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’
And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.
And the Lord said: ‘I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.’
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.
God raised up a Prophet like none other in the man called Moses. Moses was given a task that by natural law could not be done.
Moses’s commission was to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. Imagine with me being Hebrew, and generations of your family had grown up in Egypt, slaves to the Egyptians.
Then one day Moses shows up and tells you, God said he’s there to take you out of that place. 430 years of living in Egypt has come to an end. When Moses walked into Egypt it was as if God had walked in.
While Joseph was alive. Egypt protected Israel. After his death and the death of Pharaoh, Israel was enslaved. 130 years of hard labor, the Israelites were forced to build the store-cities of Pithom and Ramses blood sweat and tears, and more graves than you can count. Exodus 3:7
And the Lord said: ‘I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.’
When Moses appeared before Pharaoh, he wasn’t facing a Pharaoh who had compassion for Moses.
The daughter of Pharaoh retrieved Moses from the basket in the Nile and adopted him; he became her son, because she never had a son.
Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
Jeremiah 32:21 NKJV ‘You have brought Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.’
Pharaoh thought he was God, Moses wasn’t God but he must have looked like God to Pharaoh.
Moses looked like God to the Egyptians when the children of Israel was taken from Egypt,
God took Israel away from Pharaoh. Be it known unto you, Pharaoh never will let the Children of Israel God, so God took them.
Imagine God making a promise and not sticking to it.
Each time Moses visited Pharaoh, the words came to him ‘What did he say’ are we free.
The last plague came. The final plague ‘the death of the firstborn’ when the death angel came nothing could stop him.
No wall. No door. The only thing that mattered to the death angel was the blood on the door post of the lamb.
Every adult whom the death angel took went to hell immediately, the children would go to be with the Lord safe from eternal damnation.
God was coming for the children of Israel and nothing was stopping him. Nor was anyone.
When God says he will never leave you this you can count on. When he says that He won’t forsake you, he’s ever-present. He says I will walk beside you.
Jesus is with you it is all that matters, can you stop God, when God decrees a word it will be fulfilled.
Right now the conditions are right for Jesus to come to get his church, make no mistake Jesus has never forsaken his church, he died for it. The rapture is about to take place.
He is coming for us and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I’m telling you he’s coming for me.
He’s coming for me. The question is, will he come to get you. If you’re not saved you will be left behind. Is your name in the Book of Life?
Revelations 20: The Great White Throne Judgment. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away.
And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life.
And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Is your name in the book of life? If you have been saved, the angels wrote your name in that book. Nothing can, from this point, take you from him. He’s coming for me.”
