3 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Some claim to be saved but they do not know the Spirit of God.
They are in a bad situation because they have never been saved, and tragically they will die without God.
Religion is the Spirit’s worst enemy.
1Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].
2For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
3For what the Law could not do [that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power] being weakened by the flesh [man’s nature without the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He condemned sin in the flesh [subdued it and overcame it in the person of His own Son],
4so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not live our lives in the ways of the flesh [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in the ways of the Spirit [guided by His power].
5For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose].
6Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever–because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God–both now and forever];
7the mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot,
8and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God.
9However, you are not [living] in the flesh [controlled by the sinful nature] but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God lives in you [directing and guiding you]. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God].
10If Christ lives in you, though your [natural] body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness [which He provides].
11And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.
By the Spirit of God, eternal life has become yours, the Spirit bring Eternal life.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
When the life of his Spirit comes in, the old man dies. Release the old man and embrace the Spirit of God.
Embrace everything God has for you, and receive the Spirit.
Let the Holy Ghost come out. Don’t trap Him inside you. He is meant to show Jesus in you.
Jesus became sin for you so you can have his righteousness
He became disease. He became sickness so you can be healed.
He died so you can live. He died and was buried, and on the third day he arose from the grave so we can have eternal life.
Eternal life is guaranteed to every believer.
We don’t fear death. We have eternal life.
When the Holy Spirit comes He brings his life. His life sets me free from the death of sin.
34 Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.
35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.
36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
Deliverance from drugs is guaranteed. Receive the spirit of God.
Perversion let my sons and daughters go in the name of Jesus.
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I’m going to church. Do you know why? I want to be around people who walk in the spirit, people who will prophesy over me, build up, edify the body of Christ, people who will fortify my faith.
It doesn’t matter to me if you have “small faith.”
Small faith grows when we prophecy.
Mustard seed faith
“A little faith” it will grow
Great faith is grown in the Spirit.
I have a great high priest who prayed for me. Do you know what he said?
Jesus has just eaten the Passover with his disciples in Luke 22: and the discourse of betrayal of Peter has come full circle. Jesus tells Peter you will deny me thrice
Verses 31-32
31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat.
32 But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers.”
