Heaven is coming!
All Things Made New
Revelation 21:1-6
1 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also, there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, sorrow, or crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6 And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
Heaven is coming to earth; the earth will be like heaven.
As John explained in this text, the change in the earth was so great that it was as if the whole earth had died and it was totally a new earth with no seas.
Heaven is holy, why you may ask? Because of who lives there, heaven is God’s dwelling place.
Isaiah 66:1-2
New Living Translation
66:1 This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place?
- My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the Lord, have spoken!
I want to be the temple of God. I want nothing more than to be a holy man.
Like oil upon your feet, like wine for you to drink, like water from my heart, I pour my love on you.
If praise is like perfume, then I’ll lavish mine on you. ‘Til every drop is gone, I’ll pour my love.
The struggle of life is so great that we forget that heaven is near.
God said to tell you he sees all you are going through; the days are short, and Satan will be judged and sealed to hell for how he has exploited my sons and daughters.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17
16 Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
- God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Everything in heaven is holy; every person will be holy; heaven is holy on the inside; and heaven is holy on the outside.
The closer you get to Jesus, you will be holy on the inside, and you will be holy on the outside.
Jesus is coming; rid yourself of the unholy and break the curse of sin from your life through the blood of Jesus.
I saw two little black children at McDonalds last week; they were beautiful kids, and their mom was working there.
I was getting coffee and my wife a caramel frappe when the little girl said to me, Where is your mother? I said with Jesus in Heaven; her brother said Jesus; he said Jesus is in my heart; I could have cried right there.
I want nothing more than to be ready for Jesus when he appears; I’m far from what I want to be. But I want to be a bride adorned, looking for her husband.
I want to wear my best suit and shine those shoes. I don’t own a tuxedo, but I want the sharpest tuxedo I can afford.
The sharpest Florsheim shoes I can wear I want to smell like a child of God and look like a child of God.
The struggle of life is so great right now. Mommas struggle to pay the bills, and dads work in the most unbearable conditions. Why make a difference for your families?
Revelations 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, sorrow, or crying.
We are so close to the earth that we have forgotten about the joy that is set before us.
Heaven is getting closer; I can feel it coming.
- Death will lose its sting.
- The sorrow will be no more.
- A place of no more tears
God will wipe away all tears, and the struggle will be over.
Will you be filled with the spirit of God tonight? Will you surrender to Jesus right now? Let heaven come into you as the bride adorned for her husband.
