A prophet at the gate
And Elisha died, and they buried him.
And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the beginning of the year. (2 Kings 13:20)
The bands of the Moabites invaded the land after the death of Elisha.
This is a picture of what happens when prophets are removed.
The Moabites could not invade as long as Elisha was alive.
His intercession kept the enemy out of Israel.
The intercession of the prophet is a powerful restraint against the plans of darkness.
The dream Jesus gave me about the babies and young children around the pool of water has not gone away.
I’m calling on the prophets and the intercessors to help us pray; there are young Christians hanging by a thread.
In another dream, Sis. Amber Busby had the angel of the Lord tell us, Let’s wait and see.
Wait and see how we are going to respond to the presence of God in this church.
God has helped me understand that I must listen, not just with my ears but with those around me.
If I want divine direction, I must listen and be ready to act.
2nd Kings 6
One time, when the king of Aram was at war with Israel, after consulting with his officers, he said, “At such and such a place, I want an ambush set.”
The Holy Man sent a message to the king of Israel: “Watch out when you’re passing this place, because Aram has set an ambush there.”
10 So the king of Israel sent word concerning the place of which the Holy Man had warned him.
This kind of thing happens all the time.
11 The king of Aram was furious over all this.
He called his officers together and said, “Tell me, who is leaking information to the king of Israel?
Who is the spy in our ranks?”
12 But one of his men said, “No, my master, dear king. It’s not any of us. It’s Elisha, the prophet, in Israel.
He tells the king of Israel everything you say, even what you whisper in your bedroom.”
My God, where are my prophets? Get up; you’re a watchman.
God is counting on us to do the impossible.
Daniel 11:32 B. says, But the people who know their God shall be strong and carry out great exploits.
I WANT A PROPHET IN EVERY GATE.
The souls of men are at stake, the watchers are watching us, and Heaven has sent Angels to record everything we do or don’t do.
Let the prophets of the gates rise to the hour at hand.
Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear: The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the Lord will raise a standard against him.
They hate him that rebukes in the gate (Amos 5:10).
The gate is a place where the enemy can be rebuked.
Rebuke means to force back.
Demons need to be rebuked.
They need to be beaten back.
Prophetic intercession helps rebuke the enemy at the gates.
A rebuke is a sharp reprimand.
A reprimand is a severe or formal rebuke by a person in authority.
Spirits of witchcraft, lust, rebellion, deception, pride, Jezebel, religion, and carnality must be rebuked at the gates.
This will prevent them from entering and destroying the church.
I want a prophet in every gate; I want a tongue-twister in every pew.
A Prophet in the gates is dangerous to the enemy, not that there won’t be trouble where the prophets are, but a real man or woman of God.
Jeremiah 1:9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms.
To root out and pull down, To destroy and to throw down. To build and to plant.”
Let’s stop the devil at the gates; if you don’t let him in, you won’t have to deal with him.
You fortify the gate of prayer, and you will keep your mind.
Pick up the word of God; it will help you to know right from wrong.
The word is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Let the word decide what lives in your life and what dies; cut yourself free from that which holds you bound.
Stop the devil at the gate.
Don’t let his lies in; don’t live deceived. I literally repented for letting the devil deceive me.
No more, no more, no more.
Let the Holy Ghost breathe; let the anointing break the yoke.
Isaiah 10:27 It shall come to pass on that day.
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
